Explain: Knowledge representation and mapping.


  • Knowledge is a general term.
  • It is a progression that starts with data which is of limited use.
  • Knowledge can be represented at 2 levels –
    • 1. Knowledge level: This level describes the facts.
    • 2. Symbol level: This level deals with using symbols for representing objects, which can be manipulated in programs.
  • Mapping the facts to a suitable representation is an important task in designing an intelligent system.
